Close Combat Radio (Eagle Radio)
The Eagle radio is a third-generation full-duplex networked radio specifically designed to provide the fighting soldier with a cost effective solution for modern voice and data requirements in the urban, rural and mixed environments of the battlefield. It offers:

- Extended platform intercom and user selectable access to platform radios from Eagle
- AES standard encryption
- Up to 56 Kbits of broadcast data capability while maintaining two simultaneous channels for immediate voice access

- Automatic group configuration when sub-groups split and reform
- A second receiver for monitoring other groups and inter-group working/group rebroadcast
- RX/TX barring via controlled group access

- The Eagle has an effective minimum range of 800m. When working in a network, automatic rebroadcast improves area coverage and extends range. In built-up areas, this feature allows users to work around obstacles without loss of coverage.
Eagle has the following controls and interfaces:
- Easy-to-use rotary push-button with audio prompting to guide the user through menus. English and the local language included as standard.
- Mini Nexus Headset socket for single ear headset
- Fischer Data, CNR, and intercom interface connector
- External power via data connector
- Second internal space diversity antenna to allow access to second net
- Battery compartment for standard AA batteries
Eagle includes the following accessories: single ear headset with cover, pouch, antenna (2dBi), user instructions
