Multipliers / Comb Generators
REMEC D&S multiplier designs are tailored for the application:
- SRD multipliers are used for high multiplication ratios
- Schottky diode multipliers are used for narrow or broadband, low-phase noise applications
- Microwave bipolar transistors are used for high-efficiency, low-order multipliers below 10 GHz
- GaAs FETs are used for low-order multipliers above 10 GHz.

Features
- Schottky diode - broadband multipliers and low-phase noise applications
- Step recover diode - high-order multiplication and comb generators
- Transistor - low-order multiplication, high-efficiency
Example Part
Multiplier Assembly

REMEC D&S's dual-output multiplier satisfies the needs of state-of-the-art low-noise radar systems. Lumped element inter-stage bandpass filters provide high spurious rejection. This design utilizes REMEC D&S's low-cost step recovery diode (SRD) multiplier technology. A custom hybrid voltage regulator prevents phase noise degradation due to supply noise.
