LV2
Cobham Defence Communications Light Vehicle Version - LV2
Built to the the same standards of the ROVIS (AN/VIC-3), the LV2 is at home on land or sea, on any platform type. The LV2 offers similar functionality, with the addition of a second intercom channel to allow separation, if required, between Crew Traffic and the ‘chat’ of passengers carried on the Platform.
The LV2 is growing in popularity in marine applications around the world and is still the number one choice for US forces. Used in their HMMWV and other light Platforms, the LV2’s capability in the field has been successfully demonstrated in live operations, to markedly improve crew efficiency and effectiveness.
The MCS/L and FFCS/L form the basic building blocks of any LV2 system and provide all the necessary functionality for a crew to operate successfully.
MASTER CONTROL STATION/ LIGHT (MCS/L)
The MCS/L is a small footprint unit providing the central control requirements for the LV2 system. Two radio connections are provided as standard and the system uses the battle damage resilient ring system of the ROVIS (AN/VIC-3). The MCS/L provides central power for all units on the system, and a separate power supply for Active Noise Reduction Headsets.
FULL FUNCTION CREW STATION/ LIGHT (FFCS/L)
The FFCS/L provides two crew members with independent selection of the on-board radios and their headset volume. Each user is provided with two independent full duplex intercom channels to allow separation between operational functions or crew and passengers.
