Vibration Testing

Vibration Testing

REMEC D&S's Environmental Test Lab has three Vibration Test Systems available. Control and Analysis Testing Capabilities Include Eight Channel Sine and Random Vibration to 11 kHz, Classical Shock, Sine-on-Random (Gunfire), Shock Response Spectrum (SRS), Resonance Survey, Tri-Axial Fixture Evaluation, Over-Vibration Protection utilizing redundant accelerometers, and multiple control point averaging.

Vibration Testing

REMEC D&S's wide background in High Reliability and Space component testing has helped to create an advanced state-of-the-art test facility. Over-limit protection is achieved using a separate control path employing the Unholtz-Dickie AM-123 Vibration Monitor/Limiter. This over-test protection strategy provides complete test safety for all test characteristics. Tri-axial analysis is frequently performed on the vibration test systems. This method assures that even narrow-band cross-axis inputs are kept well below primary input test levels. All requirements of MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and MIL-STD-810 can be met.

Vibration Testing

REMEC D&S has employed a vast array of operational test methods, from basic DC current monitoring to phase-noise measurement during vibration. Chart recorders and RF test equipment to 20 GHz is available. Digital Still and Video Imaging/Recording is available.

REMEC D&S's on-site machine shop and tool development lab can assist with any fixturing needs you may have. Minor fixturing modifications can be handled immediately using the manual mill or drill press available in the Environmental Test facility. REMEC D&S has the experience and agility to address problems as they arise, to keep your test on schedule and your program within budget.

(Operational and Non-Operational)

REMEC D&S has an extensive background in Functional Thermal Cycle Testing. Data acquisition is available for a multitude of parameters including temperature, DC characteristics and AC to 20 GHz. All thermal chambers utilize secondary over/under temperature protection, including dual LN2 valves. A completely independent controller operates each valve.

REMEC D&S's Thermal Cycling capability includes 10 Delta Design fast ramping chambers, one Blue M Dual Zone Thermal Cycling chamber, a 4 cubit foot Associated Thermal Cycling Chamber and a 32 cubic foot Envirotronics Thermal Cycling Chamber. This provides the ability to meet many different test conditions including all revisions of MIL-STD-883 and MIL-STD-202. Non-standard test conditions are also easily programmed using the microprocessor-based controllers. Event switches and chart recorders are available to meet any test requirement. Larger volume test chambers are available upon request.

Liquid thermal shock from -65 degrees C to 150 degrees C is also available. This requirement is met with a fully programmable liquid bath test system equipped with a programmable chart recorder recording each bath and load temperature.

Stabilization Bake/Burn-in/Life Test

Stabilization Bake/Burn-in/Life Test

REMEC D&S has implemented a very reliable, high current power distribution system to provide a stable DC source at each fixed temperature oven. Voltages of +/- 5, +/- 12 and +/-15 are present along with four timed TTL signals at each interface panel. These supplies can then be converted to meet non-standard supply requirements. Our experienced tool Development Lab can assist with any conversion or fixturing requirement you might have.
