Products
Cobham Defence Communications’ products were designed for the most hostile environments faced by military users, ranging from short range radios to complex networked command villages. In addition to excellent operation, the interoperability, reliability and maintainability of CDC products have helped establish the company’s reputation as the world leader in land platform intercom systems. The following recent additions continue CDC’s commitment to quality and service throughout the design, development, manufacturing process, and service life.
Integrated Tactical Systems
Cobham Defence Communications (CDC) is a world leader in Platform Command and Control Systems. With over 100,000 systems in service with defense and security forces worldwide, CDC Integrated Platform Systems offers a comprehensive C4I Platform Capability that is easily integrated with the current and future needs of modern forces operating in a diverse range of military conflicts.

Platform Communications
CDC first established its reputation as a provider of inter- and intra-platform communications systems. The company now has over 100,000 systems in service including vehicle communications systems such as:
- ROVIS, AN/VIC-3

Combat Management Systems
In addition to platform communications systems, CDC also offers an integrated Battle Management System, with configurations developed for dismounted, vehicle and command post users with a common software core known as BattleHawk.
The BattleHawk Vehicle System (BHVS) is a vehicle-based Combat Management System that relays Situational Awareness (SA) information to the operator and interfaces directly with vehicle radio(s) and a wide range of sensors, including GPS, to provide the crew with enhanced situational awareness and improved combat efficiency. The larger command post system provides the user with larger MMI and displays to provide higher level views of the battlefield.

Dismounted Soldier Systems
Cobham Defence Communications is also leading the way in the development of highly integrated C4I hardware and software products for Soldier Modernization programs around the world, including the UK FIST program.
CDC soldier systems are designed to transfer the relevant aspects of the battlefield to troops conducting Dismounted Close Combat. Drawing on its considerable experience in Platform Communications systems and vehicle-based Battle Management Systems, CDC provides an integrated Situational Awareness (SA) and communications capability for the dismounted user while maintaining a seamless interface with C4I systems at the platform level and beyond. The essential features of any SM system have to be lightweight design, simplicity of use and relevance of data to the user; all key considerations in the CDC design and development process.
